Four small releases in one day closed every open finding from the church document audit: Save As opens the file picker directly from the click, recovery banners never auto-apply an update, and a run of layout fixes for tables, WordArt, facing pages and linked text boxes. Also new: on-device spell check, columns inside a text box, and Publisher-style master pages.
Opens Word .docx files as editable page layouts. Exports the current page, a range or all pages as JPG or PNG at 96, 150 or 300 dpi. Adds the Sunday Bulletin, Church Directory and Program Booklet templates and an Avery 5160 label sheet. The .pub reader runs entirely in the browser, so opening Publisher files no longer depends on Publisher being installed anywhere.
The stillPUB command line tool opens, edits and exports documents headlessly, ships as standalone binaries with no Node or npm needed, and exposes a local MCP server so your own AI agent can work on a document on your machine. Details on the agents page.
stillPUB opens PDF files as one full-page picture per page, so you can lay new text and shapes over a document you no longer have the source for, then export again. The renderer runs in the browser and is cached for offline use. The app is now licensed under Apache 2.0.
