Steps
- Open the file. On the start screen, click Open stillPUB or Word and choose the .docx. The document opens as pages of editable text boxes and pictures.
- Look it over. Word's own page breaks are not reproduced exactly; stillPUB lays the text out again and tells you if it reflowed. Nudge anything that needs it. You can also add a picture, a border or a headline here, since it is now a page layout.
- Export page images. File, Export page images. Choose JPG or PNG, pick 96, 150 or 300 dpi, and pick the current page, all pages or a range. One page downloads as a single image; several download as one ZIP with a numbered image per page.

What comes across from Word
Headings, paragraphs, bold and italic, links, bulleted and numbered lists, tables, embedded pictures and explicit page breaks. Not promised: Word's exact pagination, floating picture anchors, comments, tracked changes, headers and footers. Older .doc files are not supported; save them as .docx in Word or LibreOffice first.
Why do it locally
The Word-to-JPG converters that rank for this search upload the document, convert it on their server, and keep it for a while. For a bake sale flyer that is fine. For a letter with someone's address on it, or anything with a signature, doing it inside your own browser means there is no copy anywhere to worry about. stillPUB never uploads the document; the privacy policy is short and says so.
PDF too
The same File tab has Export PDF, which produces a PDF with embedded fonts from the same pages. If what you actually need is a PDF of the Word file, Word does that itself; the reason to come here is when you also want to lay the content out, add pictures, or get images out.
